The City of Patterson has been cited for an Honorable Mention in the 2010 Community Achievement Award's Competition sponsored by Louisiana Municipal Association, the Louisiana Department of Economic Development and Louisiana Industrial Development Executive Association for outstanding community improvement in economic development within population group 3,001 to 10,000.

Patterson was recognized before a crowd of 1,500 attendees at the 74th LMA Annual Convention held in Shreveport. The theme for the three-day convention was “Cities Mean Business."
